Prof. XiaoqinZhu, comes from the . She is a Ph.D. in international law. The main areas of her teaching and research include environment and resources law, economics law and maritime law. She also teaches courses for international graduate students major in Chinese law and Marine Affairs, such as, Introduction to Chinese Legal System, Marine Affairs & International Law of the sea. In recent years, she has directed some research projects in the field of renewable energy law, trade and environment, water-saving city building ,and circular economy policy.

Prof. Zhu has been a visiting scholar for a year at the Faculty of Laws of University College London (UCL),UK, which is one of the top law schools in UK.,in 2004. And in 2007, she visited the School of Marine Affairs of University of Washington (UW), in US, for 2 months.

Currently, Prof. Zhu is one of  the executive members of Chinese Society of Environment and Resources Law, the director of the Center for Environment and Energy Law ,and the deputy director of the Center for Oceans Policy and Law,XMU.
